Documentary Scriptwriting & Directing
Guided by a deep sensitivity to human connection, my documentary practice blended writing, directing, and producing to carry projects from research to execution. Writing was always the anchor, shaping lived experiences into narratives that reveal depth, nuance, and poetry. I’ve explored intimate and collective stories through three documentaries (Living Around Marguerite, Jour 866, Le Manège F), four collaborative films with Wapikoni amplifying Indigenous voices, more than thirty live broadcasts, and numerous web projects, including with Vincent Moon. Each work was an invitation to see and feel differently, creating spaces where emotions, perspectives, and realities meet.
In the house of her childhood, a grandmother, Marguerite, reaches 100, living with Alzheimer’s, cared for by her daughter Simone with dignity and devotion. Filmed over three years, this intimate portrait captures tenderness and tension as their relationship evolves. Through family archives and everyday moments, the film follows Simone’s quiet pilgrimage alongside Marguerite, where even the smallest gestures hold profound meaning.

Living Around Marguerite
DAY 866
Rooted in proximity and research, the film immerses in the daily life of Abdelkader Belaouni, who took sanctuary in May 2008 to avoid deportation after 866 days in limbo. Rather than focusing on legal aspects, it explores the intimate reality of living in perpetual uncertainty, capturing the weight of waiting, the resilience to endure, and the human side of an issue often reduced to policies and headlines.

A different kind of report
n 2008, a web report for Ça manque à ma culture on Télé-Québec profiled Vincent Moon, then redefining how music was filmed online with a spontaneous, raw style. Aware of the risks of overexposure, he refused to be filmed, leading to an interview at Montreal’s Santropol where only his hands were captured—conveying his energy and the rhythm of his thoughts. The piece reflects a belief that storytelling is as much about presence and connection as it is about images.
